Description

I will discuss the holographic dual of four-dimensional QCD in type IIA supergravity based on the D4-D8 model and the computation of its symmetry TFT. Gauge invariance of the bulk supergravity action in the presence of D8 branes is ensured by using a dual formulation of the flux sector of IIA. The symmetry TFT is then obtained by reduction of the topological sector of this action on the internal space. The resulting symmetry TFT provides a bulk derivation of a mixed anomaly between the discrete axial symmetry and the diagonal component of the flavour symmetry, first predicted by Tanizaki.
