Description
The field of post-reionization 21cm intensity mapping has been rapidly advancing in recent years: several cross-correlation measurements have been carried out, progress is being made on measurements of the 21cm auto spectrum, and exciting new observational facilities are taking shape. The original motivation for intensity mapping at these redshifts was to pursue cosmology at BAO scales, but the same measurements can also probe the nonlinear regime (down to ~Mpc scales), where the details of galaxy evolution become relevant. In this talk, I will review the landscape of current intensity mapping measurements, and discuss the opportunities these measurements provide to learn about the astrophysics of atomic hydrogen and its connection to cosmic ecosystems.
