Travelling to Perimeter Institute

If flying, you should book your flight to arrive at Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) or the Region of Waterloo International Airport (YKF).

Airport Transportation:

Most attendees will be arriving at Pearson International Airport. To facilitate coordinating your airport transportation with others, please take advantage of this sign up sheet. Tab 1 is for Arrivals, and Tab 2 is for Departures.

NOTE: Organizers will not monitor the sign-up sheet or coordinate rides, you must self-organize. 

The trip from Pearson to Waterloo is approximately 1 - 1.5 hours, depending on traffic. Convenient transportation options include:

  • Uber - reserve in advance or on arrival
  • Waterloo Taxi - advance reservation required
  • Airways Transit shuttle service - advance reservation recommended
  • Boulevard Limousine car service - advance reservation required
  • City Cabs local taxi service - advance reservation required. 
  • GO Transit bus and/or commuter train service - options will vary depending on your arrival date and time (2+ hour travel time). The Kitchener-Waterloo GO Train line does not run on weekends. 

Car rental 

Upon arrival at any of the terminals at Pearson International Airport there are a number of car rental agencies to choose from. Their booths are located on the Arrivals level. The costs of a car rental depends on the type of vehicle you would like and the length of the stay. Please note that parking is extremely limited at Perimeter Institute.
