To ensure the safety of the PI Community and all individuals coming to the institute, the following protocols must be observed when attending a conference or workshop. Please note that residents and visitors are required to be fully vaccinated. There will be no exceptions and no accommodations. All individuals are required to wear a mask at all times, except when eating in the Bistro.
Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are available in all high traffic areas. Furthermore, more frequent cleaning and disinfecting measures for interaction/meeting areas have been implemented throughout the institute.
Arrival Information for Visitors Traveling Domestically
You are welcome to travel directly to your destination. See here for any restrictions on domestic travel to Ontario.
You are not required to quarantine when you enter Ontario from another Canadian province, territory, or region unless you have symptoms of COVID-19.
When you enter Ontario, you must:
- Follow all provincial public health measures and rules
- Continue to monitor yourself for symptoms of COVID-19
- Practice physical distancing, maintain a distance of 2 meters/ 6 feet between yourself and others at all times
- Wear a mask or face covering in all indoor public spaces (it is also recommended to wear one outdoors where physical distancing is a challenge)
If you develop symptoms, you must leave Perimeter immediately to isolate and contact People & Culture ([email protected]). You will be required to self-isolate for at least 5 days. For more about your isolation period, please click here
Prior to entering Perimeter Institute, you must provide proof of vaccination. A link to upload your proof of vaccination may be found in the registration form.
You are required to participate in our rapid antigen testing upon arrival and for the duration of your visit. The testing kiosk is located by the front desk. Testing is provided Mondays thru Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. For entry into the institute on Friday, you must have completed rapid antigen testing on either Wednesday or Thursday.
In addition, you are required to complete the COVID-19 Screening Form daily prior to entry. Paper copies are available at the front entrance.
Arrival Plan for International Visitors
**Travelers entering Canada must use ArriveCAN (mobile app or web-based form) to submit their proof of vaccination and other documentation within 72 hours before your arrival to Canada. The ArriveCAN app will provide a receipt via e-mail. Please keep this receipt as well as proof of vaccination on hand.

Travelers arriving to Canada from any country, who qualify as fully vaccinated, may be randomly selected for arrival testing. Instructions will be provided to you at the time of testing.
